Amplified Focus in New York and Chicago
SALINAS, CA — October 21, 2021 — Scheid Family Wines, based in Monterey County, California, is pleased to welcome Stefan Foster to the Northeast sales team as Area Manager for New York and Connecticut and Cheryl Ames as Area Manager for the Midwest, covering Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. These additions allow Scheid Family Wines to give two key markets – New York and Chicago – greater focus with its growing portfolio of global wine brands.
Foster brings over 15 years of wine sales experience to the Scheid Family Wines sales team. Originally from Tampa, Florida, where he started in wine, Foster relocated to the Albany, New York area several years ago. Most recently, Foster worked as District Manager at Quintessential Wines managing a portfolio of 37 different wineries in upstate New York and Connecticut. Prior, Foster was a Sales Representative for Republic National Distributing Company in Tampa, Florida, where he managed over 100 accounts and ranked #1 out of 32 reps for revenue produced in the region. “Stefan’s expertise and relationships will elevate Scheid Family Wines’ presence in New York and Connecticut. He brings a strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and energy to the newly created Area Manager position in the Northeast, and we’re excited to see this area thrive under his guidance,” says Anthony Marzella, Northeast Regional Sales Manager for Scheid Family Wines.
Ames brings over 20 years of diverse experience in wine sales across all channels to the Scheid Family Wines sales team. Her background in supply-side sales management of distributor relations and strategic growth analysis in the Midwest is extensive, including regional manager roles with importer Luneau USA, Cecchetti Wine Company, Geyser Peak Winery, and St. Supéry Vineyards and Winery. From management positions held on the distributor side with Maverick Wine Company and Distinctive Wines & Spirits, Ames has a clear understanding of how to build brands. “Cheryl brings years of local expertise to the high priority Chicago market. We’re looking forward to seeing her hard work, enthusiasm and energy drive growth for us in this market and throughout her territory,” said Keith Knack, Midwest Regional Sales Manager for Scheid Family Wines.
