Sonoma-Based B. Wise Vineyards Welcomes Visitors for a Unique Experience in Napa Valley
NAPA, Calif. (October 12, 2021) – Brion Wise, proprietor of BRION and B. Wise Vineyards, is pleased to announce his newest tasting experience, the B. Wise Loft. Nestled in a cozy nook on the second floor of BRION’s restored 1876 ‘bank’ barn – one of just two in California – the B. Wise Loft represents a unique winery experience within Napa Valley, entirely separate from the BRION offerings in the winery’s modish first floor tasting salon.
Overlooking the famed Sleeping Lady Vineyard just south of downtown Yountville, guests now can taste through the acclaimed B. Wise portfolio of Sonoma-centric wines without having to cross over the Mayacamas.
“Our new B. Wise Loft serves as the bridge between B. Wise’s Sonoma base on Moon Mountain and BRION’s Napa Valley estate,” said Wise. “Most people who travel to wine country only travel to Napa or Sonoma. The B. Wise Loft lets Napa Valley visitors to experience some of the best from both valleys in a picture-perfect wine country setting.”
B. Wise Vineyards is a label that brings together the best that Sonoma and Napa vineyards have to offer. Guests visiting the B. Wise Loft are currently greeted with a tasting of the 2017 B. Wise Chardonnay from the Nobles Vineyard in Fort Ross and toured around the extraordinary property adjacent to the famed Sleeping Lady Vineyard. Once guests are guided upstairs to the barn’s second story – the B. Wise Loft has a separate entrance to distinguish the experience from that of the BRION tasting salon – they are seated around a glass table on a large wooden spool surrounded by 100-year-old barrels on one side and postcard vineyard views on the other. The traditional Americana barn aesthetic includes a living room adjacent to the table with an overstuffed leather couch, antique rugs and lounge chairs facing a faux fireplace, all inspired by Brion’s many tasting trips through the rustic countryside of Italy. Guests then receive pours of two single-vineyard Pinot Noirs from Sonoma as well as two Cabernet Sauvignons, the B. Wise Estate and TRIOS. A sampling of expertly paired local cheeses, almonds and crackers are also included in every tasting experience.
Designed by Wise’s interior designer wife, Ronda West Wise, The B Wise Loft is located on the second floor of the BRION ‘bank’ barn at 5537 Solano Avenue and is open for limited tastings by appointment only.
