Oregon Wine Experience® Cancels 2021 In-Person Events

Online Auctions Continue to Build a New Children’s Hospital

JACKSONVILLE, Ore. (September 17, 2021) — Oregon Wine Experience® (OWE), one of the top  destination charity wine and culinary events, has moved its auction entirely online for the 2021  event. The three in-person events have been cancelled due to the continued surge in COVID-19  hospitalizations. Founders’ Barrel Auction, Miracle Auction & Salmon Bake and Grand  Tasting events will not be held as in-person gatherings. People can still participate virtually and  bid online on exclusive wines and auction packages as part of the Founders’ Barrel Auction,  Miracle Auction, and Silent Auctions. (https://owe2021.ggo.bid/bidding/package-browse).

“We did everything we could to make these events happen, but with the high number of  hospitalizations, we believe it best for our healthcare workers not to have a large in-person  gathering this year for OWE. Our top priority is the health and safety of our community,” said Floyd Harmon, Executive Director, Asante Foundation. “We will still be hosting our auctions  online to continue our goals to benefit AsanteForward and the new children’s hospital.”

Anyone can register to participate in this year’s auctions at www.theoregonwineexperience.com/. All bidding for the auctions will take place online. Miracle Auction and Silent Auction bidding  begins on Monday, September 27, 2021 at noon and concludes on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at  9:00 p.m. The Founders’ Barrel Auction bidding begins on Friday, October 1 at noon and closes on  Sunday, October 3, 2021, at 7:00 p.m.
