Paso Robles Winery Expands Distribution Across Western U.S.
August 4th – Paso Robles, CA—Opolo Vineyards announced today that its 2019 Summit Creek Zinfandel is now available in Costco stores across five states in the Western U.S., the latest milestone in the winery’s expanding distribution footprint.
“The success of our Summit Creek wines in California is now driving demand in other states and through valued partners such as Costco,” said Opolo Vineyards co-owner Dave Nichols.
Summit Creek Sensation
Long known for its robust wine club and loyal direct-to-consumer following, Opolo created Summit Creek as a separate line of wines exclusively for distribution. “These are accessible wines that uphold our reputation for standout Zinfandels and Cabernet Sauvignons from our vineyards in Paso Robles,” said winery co-owner Rick Quinn.
Opolo recently added Colorado to its distribution network, which also includes California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. The 2019 Summit Creek Zinfandel is now available at Costco stores in each of those states, building upon Opolo’s 16-year relationship with Costco in California.
The 2019 Summit Creek Zinfandel is sourced and blended from nine individual vineyards in Paso Robles. It exhibits Opolo’s trademark Zinfandel character: big and fruit forward with nuance and elegance.
Rooted in Paso Robles
Opolo Vineyards is a family-owned winery established by Quinn and Nichols in 1999. Opolo’s wines come from the winery’s vineyards on both the west and east sides of the Paso Robles AVA. These sites occupy a range of growing conditions, enabling Opolo to produce a wide variety of wines with dimension and complexity.
The winery estate in the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles includes a tasting room and paired food offerings; the Inn at Opolo; and Willow Creek Distillery. In addition to tastings, guests can enjoy estate tours and curated pairings.
“Our patrons and members get to enjoy a wide range of reserve and other limited-production wines, and now the Summit Creek line is giving everyone an option to experience Opolo at the retail level as well,” Nichols said.
