“Wine Warehouse” Chosen as California Distributor for Benovia Winery’s Critically-Acclaimed Portfolio

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (May 17, 2021) – Mike Sullivan, Winemaker & Co-Owner of Benovia Winery, is pleased to announce that the Benovia team has chosen Wine Warehouse as their newly-appointed California distributor. Rooted in family tradition and hard-working values, Benovia Winery is a fun, small production winery in the heart of Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley. The Benovia team feels aligned with Wine Warehouse and thrilled to have the multi-generational, family-owned & operated company facilitating the wholesale distribution of Benovia’s portfolio of highly acclaimed Pinot Noir and Chardonnay throughout California

“When Mary Dewane and Joe Anderson founded Benovia Winery in 2002, they put together an experienced team to show their commitment to building an enduring brand, with patience and persistence,” said Benovia Winery winemaker and co-owner Mike Sullivan.  “Enlisting the superior expertise of Wine Warehouse is a continuation of that dedication and we’re excited to have them as such committed, enthusiastic and supportive partners.”

Benovia Winery only produces a few hundred cases of their critically-acclaimed single vineyard wines, crafting some of the most elusive wines from the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast and prized acquisitions for collectors of balanced, expressive Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.  These wines are the product of exhaustive site exploration and vineyard acquisition, as well as extensive planting and replanting with distinctive heirloom clones.  The team deploys artisanal practices, such as meticulously hand sorting the fruit during harvest. Old world care meets new world technology as winemaker Mike Sullivan delicately balances innovative winemaking techniques. This attention to detail and care for Benovia Winery’s portfolio is matched by the Wine Warehouse’s strategic approach in the field. Anchored by offices in Northern & Southern California, Wine Warehouse was established in 1973 and has almost 50 years of experience working with one of the most sophisticated and demanding markets in the country.

“We have always been committed stewards of incredible wine brands and have passionately shared their unique stories,” said Wine Warehouse second-generation owner Jim Myerson.

“We are honored to continue our hard work and dedication with Benovia Winery, a natural fit within our family of customers.”
