(March 16, 2021; Napa, Calif.)—Chris Kajani, winemaker and general manager of Bouchaine Vineyards in Napa Valley’s Carneros AVA, is pleased to announce that Wine Warehouse has been selected to handle all of its wholesale distribution and sales within the state of California.
“We are excited to partner with Wine Warehouse as Bouchaine enters its 40th year. Since I joined the winery in 2015, owners Tatiana and Gerret Copeland have made substantial investments to not only build a new world class hospitality center, but also to elevate both our sustainably farmed vineyards and our cellar,” says Kajani. “The results of these efforts have come to fruition and I’m thrilled to see the new heights Wine Warehouse can achieve in our home market.
The partnership brings together one of California’s oldest family-owned distributors with the oldest continuously operating winery in the Carneros District. Wine Warehouse will focus its sales on Bouchaine’s Estate Carneros Pinot Noir, Estate Carneros Chardonnay, Estate Carneros Vin Gris of Pinot Noir, along with limited quantities of the Estate Carneros Pinot Meunier, Las Brisas Vineyard Riesling and the winery’s Pinot Noir Single Clone Series.
The proprietors of Bouchaine Vineyards, Gerret and Tatiana Copeland, founded the 104 acre vineyard and winery in 1981 and are delighted to celebrate 40 years in the bucolic rolling hills of Carneros.
“This is an exciting time for Bouchaine,” says Tatiana Copeland, president and co-owner. “We recognized and truly invested in this cool-climate region long before it was well known. Add winemaker Chris Kajani, her all-woman vineyard crew, and a new partnership with Wine Warehouse – we feel the future is very bright.”
About Bouchaine
Bouchaine was founded in 1981 by Gerret and Tatiana Copeland and is today one of the leading producers of sustainably farmed Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the Carneros AVA. The estate is comprised of 104 contiguous acres, including a state-of-the art winery and a new world-class hospitality center and culinary kitchen. The vineyards at Bouchaine are greatly influenced by the adjacent San Pablo Bay, where cool breezes and the daily influx of fog allow cool climate varieties to shine. The location’s substantial diurnal temperature shifts also help develop beautiful acidity in the fruit, resulting in wines with vivid energy and texture. Noted as the first “Fish Friendly Farming” certified vineyard in Napa Valley, the winery is also Napa Green land and winery certified.
