4 March 2021 – Vinexposium Connect, the new digital platform by Vinexposium, continues to roll out “off-stage” features for the group’s physical events worldwide. As the world celebrates International Women’s Day, Vinexposium is hosting a raft of new events for industry members and wine and spirits enthusiasts alike, with two live and VOD highlights slated for March 8.

A live event for female industry members to air their views

Titled ‘Wine, Women, COVID and Bright Ideas’, the live event turns the spotlight on three women from different geographical and professional backgrounds, and how they are coping with the past and future consequences of the pandemic.

Anne Burchett will moderate the discussion and will welcome Andrea Mullineux, a winegrower in South Africa, British influencer Helena Nicklin and American-based buyer Clare Tooley to ask them how Covid-19 has changed their professional lives and their vision of the wine world in terms of prospects and opportunities when we exit the crisis.

Tuesday 8 March 2021 at 5:00 pm (Paris Time) then as VOD on Vinexposium.Connect
In English with French sub-titles / Free access / Length: 40 min.

The Women Talks, a new series of exclusive interviews

In the same vein as the ‘CEO Talks’ (a series of interviews with inspirational CEOs from the wine and spirits industry), the ‘Women Talks’ offer the opportunity to meet winegrowers, entrepreneurs, winemakers, wine merchants, executives, journalists, sommeliers and politicians, all of them inspirational, ambitious, innovative and powerful women who have one thing in common – a shared passion for wine. These ground-breaking interviews offer a different vision of the wine and spirits industry, as seen through the lens of women.

The first three episodes of the ‘Women Talks’ will go live on 8 March and feature:

  • Irène Tolleret: a professional winegrower, MEP and co-chair of the wine and spirits intergroup at the European Parliament.
  • Paz Levinson: Best Sommelier of the Americas, Head Executive Sommelier for the Groupe PIC.
  • Pascaline Lepeltier: MOF, France’s Best Sommelier and managing partner of a restaurant in NYC.

Interviews in their original language sub-titled in English are available free as VOD / Length: approximately 15 min.

Each series of ‘Talks’ will be regularly updated with new episodes all year round.

Vinexposium continues to ramp up its digital presence and develop original content on Vinexposium Connect to complement its physical events and provide support for industry members across the globe 24/7.
