March 1st – Kennewick, Washington – A new Chief Operating Officer will join the executive team at Vintners Logistics at the beginning of April. Lisa Petersen has been announced as the head of operations, a new position for the wine industry’s leading provider of logistics, warehousing and transportation solutions.
Petersen brings more than 25 years of industry experience and 15 years of executive management to Vintners Logistics. For the last eight years, Petersen served as the Director of Intermodal Services for Portland, Oregon-based Independent Dispatch, Inc. where she was responsible for the company’s largest division of transportation and logistics operations. Prior to that, Petersen served in executive roles for Portland-based Market Transport, Ltd. for six years. She is a graduate of Oregon State University.
Petersen leaves behind lifelong friendships and supportive colleagues in her current role, however, the move to the wine industry is a return to her roots. Her passion for wine stems from her upbringing in Dundee, Oregon where she watched her grandmother’s orchard become one of the first vineyards in Newberg, Oregon. Petersen has a decades-long love of wine, agriculture and small business. When the opportunity to join Vintners Logistics presented itself, she jumped at the opportunity to combine her work experience with her enthusiasm for wine. “My husband, Steve, and I, look forward to this new adventure and being part of the Tri-Cities community,” says Petersen.
Vintners Logistics was founded in 2007 when owner Robert Thompson recognized the Pacific Northwest wine industry was underserved and without third-party logistics and warehouse providers who had industry-specific knowledge.
