Best-selling Vine Series® Moscato Collection Now Available in Cherry, Blueberry & Lemon
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (March 1, 2021) — Oliver Winery & Vineyards is releasing Lemon Moscato to select major retailers starting March 8, 2021. A refreshing lemon shake-up for grown-ups, Oliver’s Lemon Moscato is the latest addition in the award-winning Vine Series® collection, which also includes Cherry Moscato, Blueberry Moscato, and original Moscato.
Recently ranked the 29th largest in the U.S., the Bloomington-based winery is adding to its innovative profile of Moscatos with this refreshingly light and tart lemon variety. With an ABV of 6.8%, the easy-drinking wine appeals to a wide range of palates.
“We’ve seen such a phenomenal response to our Vine Series® Moscatos and are excited to be one of the first to bring this unique variety to the market,” said Dennis Dunham, VP of Operations and Director of Winemaking. “Sweet wine has always been our sweet spot. We’ll keep innovating and producing approachable, fruit-forward wines that make wine interesting and delicious.”
Oliver’s latest release taps into the $6.3 billion lemon beverage category in a new way. Sales of this flavor are up 6% over last year, with lemon-based seltzers, beers, and ciders increasing in popularity. Oliver expects a similar reception as it sets the trend for fruity Moscato offerings.
Lemon Moscato follows the national success of Blueberry Moscato (a top 10 Moscato in the U.S. after just two years) and award-winning Cherry Moscato (a top-selling wine since its release in 2016). The Vine Series® collection of Moscatos is sourced from a unique blend of Muscat Canelli and Muscat Alexander, infused with real fruit juices and extracts, and a touch of bubble for a spritzy finish.
Retailing at $12 a bottle, Lemon Moscato is available in stores across the Midwest and in Texas, plus availability in 40 states by the end of 2021. It is also available for purchase at the Oliver Winery tasting room and online at oliverwinery.com
