February 23rd – NAPA, CA— The Napa County Farm Bureau Foundation is pleased to announce its 2021 scholarship application period has opened for Napa County high school seniors pursuing college study of agriculture or a related field.
The scholarships are made possible by the family of Aldo Delfino, the late Ag Commissioner of Napa County, who valued both the opportunity to attend college and the opportunity to return to Napa County and serve the community and local agriculture. The Aldo Delfino Scholarship was established upon the death of Aldo in 1981 for the purpose of awarding scholarships, in his name, to local students planning to attend college and study some form of agriculture. To date, the Aldo Delfino Memorial Scholarship fund has awarded over $160,000 in scholarships.
“Our scholarship program is not only an excellent opportunity for our county’s high school seniors, it also ensures that we are developing the next generation of agricultural professionals in Napa County,” said Ryan Klobas, Chief Executive Officer of the Napa County Farm Bureau and Napa County Farm Bureau Foundation. “I have been extremely proud of the talent that is being cultivated in Napa County through our scholarship program and look forward to seeing this year’s next round of promising students.”
