Inaugural wine-only online auction benefits Seattle Children’s & Washington State University Viticulture & Enology Research
WHAT: The Auction of Washington Wines’ (AWW) first-ever “Bid for Bottles – Holiday Edition” online auction supports the organization’s vision to inspire the world to experience Washington wines. The event allows wine lovers the opportunity to purchase unique Washington wines, including some pulled straight from the AWW cellar’s exclusive reserves. By joining this online fundraiser, participants can give the gift of Washington wines and support AWW’s beneficiaries, Seattle Children’s and Washington State University Viticulture & Enology Research. Let the bids flow!
Some of the 100+ unique wines for sale include:
- A commemorative Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery 1996 Reserve Merlot, Columbia Valley magnum, featured at the 2000 Washington Wine Festival.
- A dual homage to the Spirit of Washington Dinner Train, featuring library vintages from Covey Run Winery and Columbia Winery in stunning, gold-etched, 3-liter bottles signed by renowned winemakers Dave Crippen and David Lake.
- A 3-liter Cayuse Vineyards 1999 Camaspelo, Walla Walla Valley red Bordeaux blend adorned with a beautiful stained-glass art “label”. This bottle is the only one of its kind and is signed by the winemaker.
- Many more to be announced.
Bidding is open to all who are 21 years of age and older, including those outside Washington state. Shipping for select bottles is available to states without restrictions.
