Joanne Schmidt – Area Sales Manager and Patrick Baker – Production Sales
SALINAS, CA, October 20, 2020 – Scheid Family Wines based in Monterey County, California, is pleased to welcome Joanne Schmidt to the North Midwest Sales Team as the Area Sales Manager covering Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa, and Patrick Baker as a new member of the Production Sales Team. Schmidt will be based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, while Baker will be based at Scheid’s winery campus in Greenfield, California.
Schmidt joins the Scheid team with more than 14 years of sales management experience in the alcohol beverage industry. Prior to joining Scheid Family Wines, she worked for Gerard Bertrand, where she spent two years as the Midwest Regional Manager. She has worked in similar roles for Sokol Blosser Winery and Huneeus Vintners and has distributor experience working for General Beverage in Wisconsin.
Baker brings over 17 years of diverse wine business experience to the sales team. He is knowledgeable in many facets including winemaking, viticulture, winery management, teaching wine business at the university level, winery software and leading-edge technologies. Most recently, he worked as the VP of Sales for Agrothermal in Grower Relations.

Schmidt graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. She now resides back in Milwaukee with her family and is a certified health and lifestyle coach. Baker graduated from the University of Washington and is a newly planted resident of Atascadero, California, having just relocated from Sonoma County with his wife.
