Napa County Farm Bureau Celebrates National Farm Safety and Health Week 2020

Napa County Farm BureauNapa, CA—The Napa County Farm Bureau is proud to celebrate and acknowledge National Farm Safety and Health Week 2020 (September 20-26) in Napa County.

This annual promotion initiated by the National Safety Council has been proclaimed as such by each sitting U.S. President since Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1944. National Farm Safety and Health Week is led by the National Education Center for Agricultural Safety (NECAS), the agricultural partner of the National Safety Council. The theme for National Farm Safety and Health Week 2020 is “Every Farmer Counts”. This theme is one that reminds us that it is in everyone’s best interest to prioritize the health and safety of those who work so hard in our agricultural sector.

“We are proud of the commitment we have placed on ensuring the health and safety of our ag workers not only during harvest, but year round, especially as we have dealt with COVID-19”, said Ryan Klobas, Chief Executive Officer of the Napa County Farm Bureau. “We acknowledge, celebrate, and uplift the men and women of Napa County agriculture who have encountered unprecedented challenges this year, yet continue to work hard proudly serving our community.”

As we continue to address COVID-19 in the agricultural community, ensuring the health and safety of our ag workers is our top priority. For comprehensive resources on ag health and safety, as well as COVID-19, please visit www.napafarmbureau.org/covid19
