A Passion For Spirits Turns Into A Joint Partnership For Growing Sonoma-Based Winery
Sonoma, CA (September 17, 2020) – Daylight Wine Company, one of Sonoma County’s fastest growing independent craft wineries, introduces its first line of spirits in partnership with Sonoma Brothers Distilling. Founded in 2013 by Andy Wahl and Bill Kerr with its flagship brand Ammunition Wines, Daylight Wine Company has been producing wines with grapes sourced from some of the best family vineyards in Sonoma County, at an aggressive price point given the pedigree of the fruit.
The partnership with Sonoma Brothers Distilling allows Daylight Wine Company to diversify its product offering in an evolving beverage market. It also supports Wahl’s long-term vision of bringing Ammunition whiskeys with a unique finish in oak cask wine barrels, to a market thirsty for high-quality, hand-crafted spirits at an affordable price point.
From American Bourbon to Single Malt Scotch Whiskey, Wahl and Kerr have always had a passion for quality spirits. It was fate when the two partners became fast friends with Sonoma Brothers Distilling founders, Chris and Brandon Matthies. What began as a sales and marketing collaboration, quickly evolved into a joint venture partnership that allows Daylight Wine Company to bring Sonoma Brothers gin, vodka, and whiskeys to a national marketplace.

Gin
The four botanical Gin starts with the best quality neutral spirit, Sonoma Brothers Vodka. It is then vapor-infused and macerated in the highest quality, local, organic botanicals in a handmade pot still. After the distillation process is complete, the result is a perfectly balanced gin with notes of fresh juniper, citrus, and other spices.
Vodka
Made from all natural non-GMO grains and produced from a proprietary blend of corn, wheat, and specialty malted barley. Our balanced triple grain mash bill offers a smooth finish with flavors of vanilla and pepper.
Bourbon Straight Whiskey
The bourbon starts with all natural GMO-free corn, wheat, and specialty malted barley. The distillation process then takes place in new American oak casks. This complex bourbon has notes of cherry oak, dried fruits, spicy vanilla, and caramel.
Rye Straight Whiskey
Comprised of a mash bill of rye, wheat, and a specialty malted barley. It is aged in heavy charred new American oak casks. This Rye has a complexity well beyond its years with notes of butterscotch, vanilla, and citrus.
