Lubanzi Wines Launches New Addition, Rosé Bubbles

CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA, July 20, 2020 – Lubanzi Wines, the start-up, sustainable, B Corp Certified, South African wine company – on the heels of becoming Climate Neutral Certified and a member of 1% for the Planet – has launched a new permanent addition to its collection of offerings, the Lubanzi Rosé Bubbles, packed in super sustainable and endlessly portable 250mL cans.

Lubanzi has launched the new cans directly via their own website for direct-to-consumer sales, as well as in retail and restaurant in partnership with Lubanzi’s network of distributors across the US.

“We think this is a massive hit, and we’ve been hugely humbled by the super positive response from our customers. We were really glad to be able to make sure we had some of this available to our customers online, and we’re stoked to get behind our distribution partners to continue sharing this across the US,” says Co-Founder Charlie Brain.

Lubanzi Wines has been one of the pioneers of South African wine in cans since early 2019, when they introduced their Chenin Blanc and Rhone Style Red Blend in 375mL cans to the US market. This sparkling rosé, packed in slimline 250mL cans, offers consumers a new wine in the collection, and a low ABV, smaller-serving option, at just 11% alc.

The sparkling rosé is both a classic as well as inventive in style for the canned wine marketplace. A blend of Rhone varietals, it is produced via a second ferment in tank, much like a prosecco.

“This has been such an awesome journey to take to market, COVID complications notwithstanding; we’ve been so lucky to work with really phenomenal partners to bring this to life. This has been a huge amount of fun, and we’ve been chomping at the bit to get this out into the world,” says Co-Founder Walker Brown.
