The Dan Berger International Wine Competition, held in Sonoma County, awarded Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards 2020 Small Winery of the Year, (this honor goes to the wineries whose case production is under 10,000). Dan Berger International Wine Competition (formerly Riverside International Wine Competition) is one of the nation’s most prestigious and competitive wine competitions. This year Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards submitted 18 wines and earned 16 medals that garnered silver and above including three golds. Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards took home Gold for their 2017 Grenache, 2018 Riesling and 2016 Syrah Winemaker’s Reserve.
Stephen M. Reustle, Owner/Winemaker, was elated when he heard the news and commented, “Wow! That is terrific. I knew our wines would fair well in the competition and to be honored in this way, as we were in 2010, is over the top.”
Mr. Reustle continued, “Being honored for consistent winemaking, across the spectrum of the wines we do, is heart-warming.
