The First-Ever International Pinot Noir Celebration (IPNC) Portland Trunk Sale

Sunday May 17th with Elephants Delicatessen

McMinnville, OR • The final details were being prepared and guests were less than four months away from this year’s International Pinot Noir Celebration (IPNC) at Linfield University in McMinnville, Oregon when the COVID-19 global pandemic caused the IPNC Board of Directors to cancel IPNC for the first time in the storied festival’s 34 years of existence. The long-running and wildly popular Pinot Noir immersive three-day celebration has been rescheduled for July 2021 and the programming is expected to be better than ever. But the experienced team of event specialists and winemakers is not taking this year sitting still!

In a quick turnaround, IPNC announced this past Friday that it has paired up with Elephants Delicatessen Northwest (115 NW 22nd Ave, Portland) for a special Trunk Sale Fundraiser from noon-5pm on Sunday, May 17th. This special one-day-event was organized to offer a variety of delicious pre-made dinners alongside award-winning wines from IPNC winery partners: Adelsheim VineyardDr. LoosenJ. ChristopherLingua FrancaLove & Squalor, & Westrey Wine Co.

Local wine and food lovers are invited to pre-order by 5pm on Friday, May 15th, and IPNC will have the provisions ready upon arrival and will load up the trunk of their car, completely contact-free. A full list of items can be found and purchased in advance at www.ipnctrunksale.com/pre-order. Plus, if participants purchase one of the hand-selected Winemaker’s 6-Packs, they will automatically be entered to win 12 bottles of wine from the exclusive IPNC Library that spans a decade and includes top-tier wines from all over the globe!

In addition to stocking up on some great wine and picking up a tasty meal, participants will be helping to support a great cause. Half of each wine purchase price will go directly to the IPNC to help this small non-profit pull off its annual International Celebration.

IPNC looks forward to hosting guests at the 2021 event to celebrate its 35th anniversary alongside iconic Champagne producers Louis Roederer, Laurent-Perrier, Henri Giraud, among others, for a deep-dive into the world of Sparkling Pinot Noir in addition to our global winemakers that craft the finest still Pinot Noir from all corners of the globe. More information on attending next year’s IPNC can be found at www.ipnc.org.

From everyone involved with the day-to-day operations at the IPNC, thank you for your support and your contribution to keeping one of the longest running wine events in the United States alive and well. See you Sunday, May 17th between noon and 5pm!
