Grand Prairie, Texas, April 24, 2020 – Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) and Young’s Market Company (Young’s) announce a $400,000 donation to the World’s Biggest Tip Jar, an initiative kicked off by the Sazerac Company and Fireball Whisky with the goal to support hospitality service workers during the COVID-19 crisis.
“Front-line workers, including bartenders and servers, are the face of the alcohol beverage industry to our customers. It is vital that we join together to ensure they are provided a means of support during this difficult time,” said Tom Cole, President and CEO of RNDC and Young’s.
The Biggest Tip Jar donations will go to tax exempt organizations that directly assist service industry members including the United States Bartenders Guild (USBG), Southern Smoke Emergency Relief Fund, and CORE: Children of Restaurant Employees.
Since the beginning of crisis, RNDC and Young’s have been actively supporting suppliers, customers, associates, and communities. Last month the companies contributed $500,000 to the United States Bartenders’ Guild (USBG) and provided a Hero Bonus to RNDC and Young’s workers who are on the front lines serving suppliers and customers.
