14 Hands Winery Launches Limited Edition Rosé Bubbles in a Unicorn Can

14 Hands Unicorn CanProsser, Wash. (March 30, 2020) – One year after the launch of its popular line of canned wine varietals, 14 Hands Winery has released limited-edition rosé bubbles in a unicorn can. The cans, meant to celebrate National Unicorn Day on April 9, provide a small celebration in every sip.

Canned wine saw a 44% increase in sales volume from 2018 to 2019, translating to a 71% increase in dollars (IRI). “We’re leaning into key consumer trends with the launch of the unicorn rosé bubbles,” says Amanda Wygal, Director of Marketing for 14 Hands. “Research shows the preferred type of wine in a can is sparkling rosé wine. Our goal is that the 14 Hands Unicorn Rosé Bubbles captures the imagination of consumers and seamlessly integrates into their lifestyle.”

On shelves nationwide in grocery retailers and convenience stores while supplies last, the lightly effervescent rosé bubbly offers notes cranberry, pomegranate and Bing cherry, giving way to a juicy crispness and refreshing finish. Consumers can also have the product delivered straight to their doorstep via Drizly where available.

About 14 Hands Winery

14 Hands wines are inspired by the wild horses that once roamed eastern Washington. The horses, measuring a scant “14 hands” tall, are the symbol of the free-spirited wine brand that rose quickly to national success. 14 Hands debuted in 2005, available exclusively in fine-dining establishments. Today the wines are widely available nationally and are exported to over 20 countries. A dedicated winery and tasting room is located at the gateway to the Horse Heaven Hills in Prosser, Washington, near where grapes for 14 Hands are sourced.
