Featuring a Special Performance by the Silverado Pickups
NAPA, Calif. – Feb. 24, 2020 – OLE Health announces it will honor Betty and Andy Beckstoffer for their years of generosity and leadership in the Napa Valley community at its annual ¡SALUD! Celebration on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at The Estate Yountville. The event will feature cuisine from Executive Chef Victor Scargle paired with wines from the Tuck Beckstoffer Estate along with a mini auction of curated luxury experiences and a special concert by the Silverado Pickups.
Proceeds from ¡SALUD! 2020 will support expansion of OLE Health’s outreach services including the addition of a mobile unit designed to bring free health care services to more than 5,000 patients annually at their workplace and in their community. Through the expanded outreach services, OLE Health will be able to provide health screenings, dental and vision screenings, acute care, first-aid and wound care, connecting patients to community resources and disaster response care.
“As a grower in this valley, I hear people talk about what makes Napa Valley great – its schools, its businesses, the land, the wine and, most importantly, the people,” said Andy Beckstoffer, one of the evening’s honorees. “It’s the people who matter most, and we need a place where anyone can get excellent health care. Whether it’s children or adults, OLE Health helps those who need it the most.”
OLE Health has a long history reaching back to its origins in 1972, when it was founded by five farmworkers with a handful of doctors volunteering inside the Rutherford Market to offer basic healthcare services to vineyard workers. Today, OLE Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center providing primary and specialty health care services to more than 39,000 patients – 81 percent of whom are underinsured – at seven locations throughout Napa and Solano counties.
“Recognized as one of the earliest and most important leaders in this world-class grape-growing region, it’s meaningful that Andy and his wife, Betty, have a passion for ensuring there is exceptional health care available to everyone who contributes to our way of life here in the Napa Valley,” said Pete Richmond, Chair of the OLE Health Foundation. “The Beckstoffers have displayed a commitment to ensuring every patient who visits OLE Health receives the highest quality healthcare, regardless of ability to pay.”
Tickets are $350 per person ($200 tax-deductible). Tables are $5,000 ($3,500 tax-deductible).
