The World of Fine Wine will be a TEXSOM International Wine Awards Media Partner in 2020
Dallas, Texas (February 7, 2020) — TEXSOM Co-founders and Master Sommeliers Drew Hendricks and James Tidwell, and The World of Fine Wine Editor and World’s Best Wine Lists Chairman Neil Beckett, today announced a new collaboration between TEXSOM and The World of Fine Wine magazine.
A natural fit, both organizations champion true quality in the wine business by making it their mission to highlight rising stars from writers to sommeliers, as well as curating educational content through their respective mediums.
TEXSOM International Wine Awards continues to gain international acknowledgement as The World of Fine Wine understands the organization’s stature within the United States. Known worldwide for high-quality journalism and its annual World’s Best Wine Lists awards, The World of Fine Wine’s relationship with TEXSOM further demonstrates the recognition of wine quality submitted to this judging. In addition, TEXSOM appreciates The World’s Best Wine Lists as the preeminent wine list awards in the world, and looks forward to promoting The World’s Best Wine Lists in conjunction with The World of Fine Wine in the US.

There is still time to send submissions for consideration in the 2020 International Wine Awards. The submissions deadline has been extended through February 9th; all wines must be received no later than February 14th in order to be presented to judges. Entries are blind tasted over a three-day period by renowned industry professionals hailing from around the globe.

ABOUT TEXSOM
Founded in 2005, TEXSOM was started by Master Sommeliers James Tidwell and Drew Hendricks to help promote professional wine service standards, outline paths for further wine education and certification, and raise public awareness about the professional standards and certifications for sommeliers. Today the conference draws more than 1,200 attendees, of whom more than 800 are sommeliers and other beverage industry professionals. The TEXSOM group purchased the competition now known as the TEXSOM International Wine Awards in April 2014. One of the largest, most respected, and longest-running in the United States, the competition was founded in 1985 by journalist and wine expert Rebecca Murphy.
