Lucien Albrecht Nominated for 2019 Wine Star Award by Wine Enthusiast Magazine

Santa Rosa, Calif., September 17, 2019 – Wine Enthusiast Magazine has nominated Lucien Albrecht for the European Winery of the Year 2019 Wine Star Award. Lucien Albrecht is one of the most distinguished and long-standing brands in Alsace, France, a pioneer of viticulture, beginning in 1425 when Romanus Albrecht started the winery. Lucien Albrecht is responsible for innovations in the region, such as being one of the three founding fathers of the regulated Crémant d’Alsace, an Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée for sparkling wines made in the Alsace wine region of France.

Winners will be announced by Wine Enthusiast on Thursday, October 31, 2019, and appear in the special December 31 “Best of Year” issue. Honorees will be presented their Wine Star Award trophies at the 20th-anniversary black-tie awards dinner on Monday, January 27, 2020, hosted in San Francisco, CA at the Palace of Fine Arts.
