ST. HELENA, Calif. (March 21, 2019) – Robin Daniel Lail, proprietor of Lail Vineyards, is pleased to announce that Matthew Perry has been appointed National Sales Manager. A successful sales professional with wine industry experience spanning two decades, Perry will oversee Lail Vineyards’ national sales and distribution, focusing on Lail’s Blueprint Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, J. Daniel Cuvée and Georgia Sauvignon Blanc.

With 17 years in the wine business, Matthew Perry brings a tremendous level of sales and industry expertise, particularly with building customer affinity. In his previous position with Diamond Wine Importers, Perry was the East Coast Sales Manager where he oversaw and coordinated the distribution network for 10 wineries, a distillery and a brewery. He customized incentives and programs and grew the market through innovative, high-touch events such as in-depth seminars, dinners and tastings, wine festivals and trade shows.
Prior to this, Perry worked with Augustan Wine Imports, the fine wine division of Breakthru Beverage Group, in Florida to distribute a portfolio of prestige wine producers to retailers, restaurants and hotels. He was the lead for the opening of new, high profile restaurants and hotels and managed education and staff training for the top accounts. Before this position, Perry spent a year in Buenos Aires as Territory Manager for Bodegas Allamand where he familiarized himself with the wine industry in South America. He managed sales of the brand’s fine wine labels in Buenos Aires, focusing on restaurants and retail stores.
Perry launched his career in South Florida at Wolfe’s Wine Shoppe, a boutique wine retailer that curates vintages from smaller, family growers. He assisted in every aspect of the business, from developing partnerships with local restaurants to developing wine courses for their loyal customer base to producing weekly wine tastings and private dinners for dozens of aficionados. Further exploring his passion for wine, he also worked harvest in Italy.
