Market leading Chateau de Berne, imported by Provence Rosé Group, extends range to take aim at the lower priced Rosé market
New York, NY, March 11, 2019 — Provence Rosé Group (PRG), the first and only US wine importer specializing solely in rosé from Provence, announces that it’s flagship estate in Provence, France, Chateau de Berne, is releasing its Romance rose to the US market.
Romance is a classic Provençal style blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Merlot. It’s presented in a unique bottle that reveals bubbles in the bottle as the wine is drunk. Topped with a stylish glass stopper, Romance is a fantastic entry level rosé from one of Provence’s leading wine producing estates.
“In 2019, we are focusing on expanding customer choice and helping educate the market on rosé. An example of this is that we are adding Romance to the Château de Berne line-up to get a more complete range. It is great quality rosé that will be on most retail shelves for less than $15 bottle, which is a significant portion of the rosé buying segment. This same wine can be sold to the on-premise trade at about $10 a bottle,” says Provence Rosé Group CEO Bob Gaudreau.
Jon McDaniel, Food + Wine Magazine’s 2018 Sommelier of the Year, was one of the first to taste the wine in America and proclaimed that “This is a high-quality wine for the price and it’s a wine for sipping patio and poolside!”
Romance will retail for $14.99 and will be available in on-premise accounts by the glass and by the bottle. The 2018 vintage is available now and is distributed by RNDC and other leading regional distributors across the country.
