Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch, is proud to announce its 2019 Live Fire Guest Chef Series, with the first event taking place on March 23, 2019. Each year, some of the world’s most acclaimed chefs join Executive Chef Stephen Barber and his culinary team at St. Helena’s celebrated Farmstead restaurant as they roast, smoke, and sear a family-style feast over the outdoor fire pit.
With a dedication to relationships and highlighting the bounty of fresh ingredients from the gardens and ranch, the guest chef dinners pair your favorite Long Meadow Ranch wines with dishes served right from the flames. Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch provides the perfect atmosphere and background as attendees mingle, sip, and feast on elevated cuisines celebrating the notable chef partnerships and their extensive culinary expertise.
The 2019 Live Fire Guest Chef dinner series benefits the Timothy W. Hall Foundation. Tickets are priced at $170 per person, including food, wine, tax, and gratuity. - Saturday, March 23 features Chef Johan Jureskog of AG and ROLF’s KÖK, Stockholm, Sweden. After joining LMR in 2017 for a Live Fire Guest Chef dinner and hosting the LMR team in Sweden, Chef Stephen Barber and Chef Johan Jureskog look forward showcasing Chef Johan’s Swedish roots while cooking with the bounty from the LMR gardens and ranch. Dinner begins inside the Farmstead barn at 6:30 p.m.
- Saturday, July 20 features Chef Ryan McCaskey of Acadia, a notable two Michelin starred restaurant in Chicago, IL. Chef Ryan is dedicated to providing his guests with a culinary memory while employing a multi-cultural approach in his kitchen. Reception begins at 6:30 p.m. with dinner at 7:30 p.m.
- Friday, August 16 features Chef Cassidee Dabney of Blackberry Farm, Walland, TN. Chef Cassidee has a palate anchored in fresh flavors and seasonal ingredients harvested at their most expressive moments. Joining Chef Cassidee will be special guests Roy Milner, chief fermentation officer from Blackberry Farm Brewery alongside Andy Chabot, sommelier and food & beverage director from Blackberry Farm. Reception begins at 6:30 p.m. with dinner at 7:30 p.m.
- Friday, September 27 features Chef Howard Hanna of The Reiger, Kansas City, MO with special guest Alice Waters. Chef Howard Hanna is known for establishing relationships with farmers, his commitment to sustainability, and for promoting inclusive hospitality. Reception begins at 6:30 p.m. with dinner at 7:30 p.m.
Previous guest chefs have included Laurence Jossel (NOPA), Pat Martin (Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint), Jenn Louis (Ray), and Matt Bolus (404 Kitchen).
