Camp Fire Benefit Beer at The Hamilton

Washington, DC – Clyde’s Restaurant Group proudly announces a partnership with Sierra Nevada Brewing Company to support Camp Fire recovery efforts.

In a nation-wide fundraising effort to help support the communities impacted by the California Camp Fire, Sierra Nevada has produced a one-time release beer named “Resilience IPA” and will be donating 100% of the proceeds to the Sierra Nevada Camp Fire Relief Fund. All proceeds will be collected by the Golden Valley Community Bank Foundation, a 501(c)(3) entity, and used to help rebuild the foothill communities devastated by the fire.

The Hamilton is one of ten restaurants in Washington, DC participating in the fundraiser by serving

Resilience IPA and will be tapping the beer at 5:00 pm on Friday, January 4th, 2019. The beer will be available at The Hamilton bars while supplies last (Not available in The Hamilton Live).

The November 8th Camp Fire broke out near the town of Paradise, California and within minutes raged through the community, obliterating everything in its path at a rate of a football field per second. The fire destroyed nearly 10,000 homes, killed many residents and leveled the town of 27,000 people on its way to becoming the most destructive wildfire in California states history. Although the Sierra Nevada brewery and the city of Chico were spared, the Camp Fire devastated neighboring communities, including many where Sierra Nevada’s employees lived.

“The Hamilton is proud to join Ken Grossman, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company and Craft Breweries throughout the United States in raising money by serving Resilience Butte County IPA in support of those impacted by the Camp Fire,” says Bart Farrell, Vice President of Food & Beverage for Clyde’s Restaurant Group. “Sierra Nevada opened its brewery to local residents, employees and first responders, providing food, shelter, and clothing to those in need. We respect and support their efforts to take care of their community and employees, as these are values and responsibilities we too hold near and dear to our hearts.”

Additional support in creating Resilience IPA was provided by the craft beer community with malt and hop suppliers donating ingredients and over 1400 breweries signing up to brew the beer.
